About Lucy McBath: Lucy’s son, Jordan Davis, was shot and killed for playing his music too loud in 2012. She turned to activism, working for Moms Demand Action & Everytown for Gun Safety. After the 2018 tragedy in Parkland, Florida, she turned to politics and ran for Congress. She was elected by a 1% margin to the metro Atlanta seat once held by Newt Gingrich. The Republicans want that seat back in 2020! 

Why this race matters: Losing this seat means one less African-American voice to represent that community’s concerns. Losing this seat means one less staunch advocate for gun control legislation. Georgia also has two Senate races in 2020. Support for Lucy will help turn out voters who will benefit Democrats up and down the ballot.
