Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment and Women's Right to Vote

Proceeds to benefit the Women on Force Multiplier’s House and Senate Slates

Join these noted scholars and writers:

  • Manisha Sinha  holds the Shirley A. Draper Chair in American History at the University of Connecticut. She is a leading authority on the history of slavery and abolition, the Civil War and Reconstruction;

  • Susan Ware is a pioneer in the field of women’s history, a leading feminist biographer and author of Why They Marched

  • Marcia Chatelain, professor of history and African American studies at Georgetown University, and a leading public voice on the history of race in America. 

These experts will provide historical background to present day challenges of ensuring full representation especially since the demise of the Voting Rights Act. They will talk about the forces that were at work after the Civil War and throughout Reconstruction and Jim Crow as mostly white women struggled so long and so hard for the vote, and what happened to women of color in the process
