Meet Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, Democratic Nominee for the US Senate from Pennsylvania
Lt. Gov. John Fetterman is running against Dr. Oz for an open seat created by the retirement of Republican Sen. Pat Toomey. This is one of the Democrats’ best opportunities to pick up a seat in the narrowly divided Senate.
A native Pennsylvanian, Fetterman moved to the city of Braddock where he served as mayor from 2006-19. He has been Pennsylvania’s Lt. Governor since 2019.
“You’ll always know where I stand. I haven’t had to ‘evolve’ on the issues, because I’ve always said what I believe is true and I’ve been championing the same principles for the last 20 years.”
–John Fetterman
Fetterman promotes legalization of marijuana, criminal justice reform, voting rights, abortion rights, clean energy, protections for LBGTQ people, raising the minimum wage to $15, Medicare for All, and instituting a wealth tax.
