Troy Jackson is a fifth generation logger, and former Majority Leader and President of the Maine State Senate. He is running for the seat currently held by Susan Collins, a six term incumbent with $11mm on hand. Both the Cook Political Report and Sabato’s Crystal Ball have rated this as one of just four Senate toss-ups. 

Jackson only became the nominee at the end of July and needs funds to compete against his well-funded opponent
